    Hello again,

We have an application that implements JOpenFlow and attempts to connect to the controller we retrieved from here: https://bitbucket.org/sdnhub/odl-controller (we followed all the steps for installation). The issue is, there is an initial handshake performed when our application connects but then the controller does NOT send a HELLO message.

The application was initally built around OpenFLowJ and we successfully communicated with the default controller via OFP 1.0, and with their OpenFlowJava plugin upon where a OFP 1.3 HELLO was received successfully. We are also checking with wireshark, and there is no HELLO message being sent from this controller where it captured the one sent with OpenFlowJava.

Do you have any information as to why this is the case?

    Thank you,
    Victor

Never mind… we figured it out… as opposed to the other controllers this controller waits for the first hello; it doesn’t give the first hello.
